The Nordic Thoracic Oncology Group welcomes participants to the 16th Nordic Lung Cancer Symposium in Copenhagen, 13 to 15 May 2027.
The biennial NTOG symposium is a key forum for exchanging ideas, presenting research, strengthening clinical collaboration, and advancing joint Nordic initiatives in thoracic oncology.
NTOG works to strengthen communication and collaboration among Nordic lung cancer experts across the full spectrum from basic science to clinical care, supportive care, and patient involvement.
The 2027 meeting is expected to gather approximately 300 to 400 participants from across the Nordic countries and beyond.

Who should attend
The symposium is designed as a multidisciplinary Nordic meeting. Nurses and patient organisations are explicitly invited.
Clinical specialists
Oncologists, pulmonologists, thoracic surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, nuclear medicine physicians, radiotherapists, palliative care specialists, and other clinicians involved in lung cancer care.
Nurses and allied health professionals
Nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians, social workers, rehabilitation professionals, smoking cessation specialists, and others involved in multidisciplinary care.

The final programme will be developed by the scientific committee.
Stage III NSCLC
Multidisciplinary work-up, treatment planning, radiotherapy, systemic therapy, surgery, biomarkers, toxicity, and outcomes.
Lung cancer screening
Nordic screening pilots, low-dose CT workflows, eligibility, implementation, smoking cessation, incidental findings, and quality assurance.
Pulmonary nodule management
Pan-Nordic nodule follow-up, radiology reporting, risk assessment, diagnostic pathways, AI, and communication with patients.
Small-cell lung cancer
Limited-stage and extensive-stage disease, radiotherapy, immunotherapy, academic trials, real-world outcomes, and future research questions.
Nordic registries and quality indicators
Registry-based research, quality indicators, standardised pathways, variation in care, treatment intent, survival, and outcome comparison.
Translational research and biomarkers
Molecular testing, tissue and liquid biopsy, immune response, tumour biology, resistance, imaging, and clinical translation.
Abstracts and presentations
NTOG encourages participants to submit abstracts for poster presentations.
Abstracts are welcome from all areas of thoracic oncology research, including preclinical, clinical, translational, registry-based, quality improvement, screening, supportive care, nursing, allied health, and patient-centred research.
